Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a Pharmacist at a large 500-bed hospital in York, PA. This contract position offers a chance to apply your inpatient pharmacy expertise in a dynamic healthcare environment, supporting patient care through medication management, order verification, and clinical consultations.
Location:
York, PA Schedule/Hours:
Variable days and afternoon shifts Immediate start 13 weeks+ duration
Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations Consult with physicians and healthcare team members regarding pharmacokinetics and medication therapy Manage complex medication therapies, including oncology and chemotherapy treatments Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation
Qualifications:
Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license Several years of inpatient pharmacy experience preferred Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system is required Experience handling oncology and chemotherapy medications is highly desirable Strong knowledge of medication use processes and patient safety standards This contract role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care within a respected hospital setting.
