Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Per Diem A Per Diem Pharmacist position is available in Lehighton, PA, offering an opportunity to support pharmacy operations with strong technician support and a collaborative work environment. This role is ideal for candidates who are enthusiastic about delivering exceptional patient care in a retail setting. New graduates are encouraged to apply, as training is available to help you succeed in this role. Responsibilities include accurately dispensing medications, providing expert pharmaceutical care, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will work alongside experienced pharmacy technicians, typically staffed with two technicians during busy hours and one technician during slower periods, ensuring you have reliable support throughout your shift.
Schedule highlights:
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1 PM to 8 PM Some weekends, including Saturdays from 8 AM to 4 PM and Sundays from 10 AM to 2
PM Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Licensed Pharmacist or eligible to become licensed in Pennsylvania Open to retail pharmacy experience; new graduates welcome Strong communication and patient counseling skills Ability to collaborate effectively with pharmacy technicians and staff Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail in medication dispensing This position offers the flexibility of a per diem schedule with the possibility of evolving into a long-term placement or transitioning to full-time hours for the right candidate.
