Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity is for a licensed pharmacist to provide essential pharmacy services at a 160-bed community hospital located in Lebanon, PA. The assignment begins as soon as possible and lasts approximately 13 weeks, offering a hands-on role in a dynamic hospital setting where patient care is the priority. The pharmacist will work a 40-hour week, with shifts scheduled between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., including every 3rd or 4th Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This role requires strong coordination and clinical skills to support hospital pharmacy operations and patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders ensuring accuracy and safety Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff activities Consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapy and adjustments Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient drug regimens Utilize hospital technology systems including EPIC and Pyxis for effective medication management
Desired Qualifications:
Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license Prior hospital pharmacy experience with exposure to medication order verification and clinical pharmacy practices Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems Some experience with chemotherapy medications highly valued This contract to hire position suits a candidate ready to contribute clinical expertise in a fast-paced hospital environment.
