Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract Join a dynamic healthcare environment as a Staff Pharmacist responsible for ensuring safe and effective medication use within a renowned university health system. This contract position, located in Temple, PA, offers the opportunity to apply clinical expertise in a collaborative hospital setting.

May 4 - August 1
Shift:
5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts
Key Responsibilities:
Review and verify medication orders from physicians and extenders, ensuring appropriate drug selection, dose, frequency, and route of administration. Assess patient-specific factors including allergies, medical history, drug interactions, and lab results to prevent adverse events. Dispense medications accurately, maintaining stringent inventory control. Provide drug information and clinical support to healthcare team members. Supervise pharmacy students and technicians during medication preparation to ensure safety and accuracy. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on patient care planning and discharge processes. Qualifications /
Desired Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred. Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist License required. Minimum of 1 year hospital experience or completion of Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) in a clinical setting preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is an advantage.
