Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract To Hire Lead pharmacy operations as the Pharmacist-in-Charge at a 503A Compounding Pharmacy, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency in prescription fulfillment and sterile/non-sterile compounding. This contract-to-hire position lasts for a 13-week term and plays a critical role in maintaining regulatory accountability across state, federal, FDA 503A, and USP guidelines.

8:30 AM - 5:30 PM Flexible Saturdays as needed
Responsibilities:
Serve as the legally designated PIC for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses unless otherwise assigned Act as primary liaison with Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory bodies Oversee and report operational changes, ownership changes, facility modifications, and PIC transitions Manage sterile and non-sterile compounding operations following USP , , , and relevant regulations Lead quality assurance initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, and personnel training Supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff Oversee the creation, execution, review, and approval of daily batch records Support production scheduling to ensure timely deliveries, accurate inventory, and capacity planning
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License Minimum of 5 years experience as Pharmacist-in-Charge or Pharmacy Manager In-depth knowledge of USP standards and 503A compounding operations regulations Proven experience leading audits and managing regulatory inspections This opportunity offers a vital leadership role in a specialized compounding environment with potential for permanent placement.
