View More Jobs Medication Assistance Program Team Lead United States Job Description Job Summary The Remote Medication Use Lead supports operational coordination and daily workflow oversight for medication assistance and patient support programs. This role provides guidance to team members responsible for medication access activities such as pharmaceutical assistance programs, reimbursement support, and medication utilization review. The Medication Use Lead helps ensure operational workflows are executed effectively, productivity and quality standards are maintained, and regulatory and program requirements are followed. This role collaborates with pharmacy, clinical, financial, and operational stakeholders to support medication access initiatives and maintain compliant program operations. Essential Functions Provides day-to-day operational guidance and workflow coordination for team members supporting medication assistance and patient support program activities. Monitors work queues and case prioritization to ensure timely processing of medication assistance and reimbursement support activities. Serves as an escalation point for complex cases, operational issues, and compliance concerns related to medication assistance and reimbursement workflows. Supports onboarding and training of new team members and provides ongoing coaching to ensure consistent application of program procedures and regulatory requirements. Conducts quality monitoring and workflow audits to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to established operational standards. Assists leadership in monitoring operational performance metrics, productivity levels, and program outcomes. Collaborates with pharmacy teams, patient financial services, and clinical stakeholders to address operational issues and support effective medication access processes. Supports implementation of workflow improvements, process updates, and operational initiatives designed to enhance program performance. Communicates operational trends, challenges, and improvement opportunities to leadership. Participates in cross-training and operational coverage activities to ensure continuity of program operations. Performs other duties as assigned. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Complies with all policies and standards. Qualifications H.S. Diploma or GED required 3-5 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or healthcare setting required Experience working with medication assistance programs, reimbursement support programs, or healthcare revenue cycle operations preferred Experience providing team coordination, training, or workflow oversight preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of medication assistance programs, pharmaceutical manufacturer assistance programs, and reimbursement processes. Understanding of healthcare reimbursement workflows and payer requirements related to medication utilization and access programs. Ability to review claims information, billing documentation, and case materials for accuracy and compliance. Ability to coordinate team workflows, prioritize work activities, and support operational productivity goals. Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with pharmacy teams, clinical staff, and operational partners. Ability to identify operational issues, escalate concerns appropriately, and support problem resolution. Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple operational priorities.
