Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A pharmacy pharmacist opportunity is available to support a specialized mail order, renal pharmacy serving a high-volume prescription flow of approximately 1,000 fills per day. This contract role offers a chance to work within a focused, dedicated team utilizing the Wellsky order entry system without automation.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM shift 40 hours per week
Contract Duration:
13 weeks with the potential to transition into a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) tasks, including final verification processes. Accurately confirm the medication in the bottle or box matches the prescription. Verify directions and prescription details against hard copy documentation to ensure accuracy. Collaborate closely with pharmacy staff to maintain quality and compliance standards. No on-call responsibilities required.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Licensed pharmacist with experience in pharmacy verification processes. Comfortable working in a mail order and renal specialty pharmacy environment. Proficient in using the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system or similar platforms. Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Ability to manage workload during peak prescription volumes efficiently.
