Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A dynamic opportunity is available for a pharmacist with experience in high-volume pharmacy settings, ideally with 2-3 years of practice. This contract role offers a fast-paced environment specializing in mail order and renal specialty pharmacy, managing approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily. The position requires a professional with a positive attitude, adaptable to a temporary assignment with the potential to transition into a permanent role.
Location:
Murfreesboro, TN Schedule:
Monday through Friday 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM 40 hours per week
Contract Duration:
13 weeks + possibility of contract-to-hire Immediate start available
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) functions Conduct final verification of prescriptions, ensuring accuracy of medication, dosage, and directions Verify prescription details against hard copy orders Utilize Wellsky pharmacy order entry system for processing prescriptions Maintain quality control in a non-automated environment Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure timely and safe delivery of medications No on-call duties required
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years working in a high-volume pharmacy environment Experience with prescription verification and pharmacy operations Familiarity with Wellsky order entry system is a plus Strong attention to detail and accuracy Positive, professional attitude with flexibility to work the specified shift This temporary role provides a meaningful chance to work in a specialized pharmacy setting supporting patient care through precise medication management.
