Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A PRN Staff Pharmacist opportunity is available to provide critical support in a specialty infusion pharmacy serving hospice and palliative care patients. This role offers flexible, as-needed day shift coverage through the remainder of 2026, aligning with the primary pharmacist's vacation and planned time away.

San Antonio, Texas Employment Type:
PRN, as-needed coverage
Schedule:
Day shift hours, specific times to be determined based on the pharmacy schedule
Start Date:
Immediate opening—within the next couple of weeks
Responsibilities:
Provide pharmacy services during coverage periods, supporting specialty infusion and hospice/palliative care patient needs Collaborate effectively in a small pharmacy team environment to ensure seamless patient care Participate in a training day prior to your first coverage shift to ensure familiarity with pharmacy operations and patient population Maintain accurate dispensing and documentation in compliance with pharmacy policies and regulations
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Active Texas Pharmacist License in good standing Experience in specialty or infusion pharmacy highly preferred Hospice or palliative care pharmacy experience is a strong advantage Demonstrated compassionate, patient-focused approach suitable for sensitive patient populations Reliability and availability for scheduled PRN shifts throughout the remainder of 2026 Local to San Antonio area to eliminate travel requirements This is an excellent PRN role within a newly launched pharmacy operation with a focus on providing essential care to a vulnerable patient group. The position allows for flexibility and offers a collaborative work environment dedicated to high-quality, compassionate pharmacy services.
