Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A large, high-volume hospital within the Texas Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in oncology to support its inpatient pharmacy team. This role focuses on providing expert medication management for oncology patients, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary care teams in a dynamic 500+ bed facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in daily rounding with the patient care team to assess and optimize medication therapy Provide evidence-based medication recommendations and interventions specific to oncology care Develop and maintain oncology treatment protocols within Epic and Epic Beacon systems Facilitate seamless transition of care by coordinating closely with outpatient oncology pharmacists Manage non-formulary medication requests and specialty medication coordination for oncology patients
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Texas pharmacist license and Texas IV certification required Minimum of 3 years inpatient pharmacy experience, with oncology pharmacy experience preferred Proficiency with Epic electronic health record platform highly desired Strong clinical judgment and ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams
Schedule:
Day shifts This is a contract position starting as soon as possible for 13 weeks with potential to convert to permanent status.
