Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract This role offers a unique opportunity to serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) and Staff Pharmacist at a well-established facility specializing in psychiatric care. With a licensed bed capacity of 128 and an average daily census of 103, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of pharmacy operations and staff management.
Location:
Cypress, TX Schedule/Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Possible weekend coverage: 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM (when per diem staff are unavailable) On-call coverage may be required to fill any coverage gaps
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee pharmacy staffing and daily operations as the Pharmacist in Charge Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and PRN pharmacists to ensure smooth workflow Manage order entry using the HCS system (training provided) Support compliance with Texas pharmacy licensure regulations Provide staff training and maintain a high level of patient care and safety within the psychiatric specialty Address and resolve any staffing or operational issues that arise in the pharmacy
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active Texas Pharmacist license (required) Experience in pharmacy management or as a PIC preferred Familiarity with order entry systems; willingness to learn HCS system Background in psychiatric pharmacy care is highly desirable Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Additional Details:
