Category Pharmacy•Pharmacist Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to support a large, busy hospital with over 500 beds in a prominent medical center in Texas. This contract position offers a chance to work in a dynamic inpatient setting, gaining valuable experience within a complex healthcare environment.
Location:
Cypress, TX Schedule:
12:30 PM•9:00 PM 1:30 PM•10:00
PM Contract Details:
Immediate start 13 weeks minimum Potential for temp-to-hire conversion
Key Responsibilities:
Dispense and verify inpatient medications accurately Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy Manage inventory and compounding as needed Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations Utilize electronic health records system to document and track patient medication information
Qualifications:
Active Texas pharmacist license required Texas Intravenous Therapy (IV) certification mandatory Minimum of 3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is preferred Candidates with a strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a commitment to patient safety will thrive in this role.
