Sterile Pharmacist LinkRX Highland Village, TX Job Details Full-time 3 hours ago Qualifications Employee relationship building Full Job Description Sterile products pharmacists assure patient safety through clinical, pharmaceutical, operational, and regulatory knowledge of sterile products and clean rooms. In addition to traditional on-demand compounding, the Sterile Products Team is responsible for preparation of a wide range of products and end-product testing. The pharmacists provide oversight of compounding personnel, aseptic technique, compounding practices, and clean room operations. Sterile products pharmacists support the missions through teaching, continuous development and improvement of compounding practices, process and product research, and evaluation/implementation of new technologies.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Compounding Oversight Assure accuracy of compounded sterile products. Observe and correct aseptic technique and compounding practices. Manage sterile compounding personnel and workflow to assure efficient, safe, and timely delivery of compounded sterile products. Order Verification and Processing Review and verify adult parenteral nutrition orders. Manage emergent orders from OR suites and critical response teams. Review and verify specialty medication orders Review and verify orders for assigned ambulatory infusion suites. Regulatory Compliance Advance knowledge of regulatory requirements and trends governing compounding Assure completion and documentation of all required activities. Provides safe, efficient, patient-centered, evidence-based medication services. Verifies medication orders and/or dispenses medications accurately according to state and federal regulations. Documents services in a complete, accurate and timely manner. Actively contributes to medication safety initiatives. Utilizes available technology proficiently and to full extent, in their area of practice. Ensures all pharmacy operations are in compliance with national accreditation standards. Maintains professional interactions with patients to facilitate successful patient experiences. Directs staff appropriately to provide safe and efficient care. Maintains professional working relationships with all caregivers. Promotes a positive work environment by providing constructive ideas and feedback to improve services and the department. Utilizes time and resources effectively. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Conditions of Employment Texas Pharmacy licensure and/or professional certification required Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check. May be subject to credentialing process; must maintain credentialed status, if applicable. Must maintain certification status
