Serves as the primary Pharmacist for Johnson Space Center (JSC) Flight Medicine Clinic, develops and implements pharmacy policies, procedures, and medication-management processes supporting clinical care and human spaceflight. Oversees medication selection and packing for medical kits and remote facilities, ensures safety and mission readiness, serves as a pharmacy subject matter expert, and leads pharmacists supporting astronauts, NASA personnel, and international partners.

Qualifications:

You must meet all three requirements listed below; unless you are covered by an exception: The mandatory Basic Requirement shown in the Education section below; Specialized experience and/or directly related education , as shown below, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of this position; and Licensure/Registration/Medical requirements To qualify for GS-15 , you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level: Providing pharmacy services supporting terrestrial and in-flight clinical care in accordance with established policies and procedures; Coordinating pharmaceutical and medication management for all human spaceflight programs, including providing consultation on the development and implementation of medical kits, personal medical packs, and launch/landing support; Supporting pharmaceutical and medication management for remote clinics, maintaining medication stocks for clinically relevant initiatives, and coordinating medication improvement projects as directed by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.

AND Licensure/Registration:

Applicants must be licensed to practice pharmacy in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
