Staff Pharmacist | PRN (As-Needed) Allied Health Professionals / Technologists Pharmacy
DESCRIPTION

Shift Information:
This position is PRN working as needed by the department. 10 hour shifts What we offer: Health Insurance 401(k) Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Paid time off Tuition Reimbursement | HPSA Designated Employee Education Scholarships Employee Referral Program Merit Increases Free access to a beautiful onsite fitness facility What you will do: The staff pharmacist evaluates providers' medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, frequency, route of administration and potential allergies and clinical interactions. The staff pharmacist makes recommendations for therapy changes to the provider as appropriate and/or manages therapies in accordance with medical staff approved pharmacy management protocols. The staff pharmacist checks all medications that are dispensed by the pharmacy and ensures compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding medications. The staff pharmacist participates as a critical member of the clinical team and practices and promotes safe medication management.
Required Education:
Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree or PharmD Preferred Education:
Residency Trained Preferred Skills:
Adept at Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
Required Licensure/Registration Certification:
Licensed Pharmacist with the
Texas State Board of Pharmacy Preferred Licensure/Registration Certification:
Sterile IV Compounding Certification Preferred Experience:
Two years experience working as a pharmacist in a hospital.
