Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A well-established 300+ bed hospital and Level III trauma center in the Longview, TX area is seeking two Pharmacists to support their inpatient pharmacy team. This contract opportunity offers a chance to work in a dynamic clinical environment with advanced technology, serving a diverse patient population in an acute care setting.

Schedule and Location:

4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (day shift) Potential for a blocked schedule option (e.g., 8 days on, 6 days off) Longview, TX area Contract duration: 13 weeks plus, possibility for a temp-to-hire arrangement

Key Responsibilities:

Verify medication orders with accuracy and clinical judgment Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow Consult and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on patient medication therapies Perform pharmacokinetic dosing and monitor drug therapies Support emergency medicine and neonatal medication needs within the hospital pharmacy Utilize EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis automation systems effectively

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Current and active Texas pharmacist license Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient or clinical pharmacy experience Proficiency with EPIC preferred Strong knowledge of pharmacokinetics, dosing adjustments, and neonatal medications Experience in emergency medicine pharmacy practice is highly valued This role is ideal for pharmacists with a passion for clinical services who thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment and have a collaborative spirit.
