The Pharmacist - Inpatient will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and optimal use of medications within the hospital setting. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care, managing complex medication therapies, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.Position:

$2800/wk. (40hrs.) Responsibilities Prepare, dispense, and review inpatient medication orders with precision, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized medication plans tailored to patient needs. Monitor patient responses to medications, adjusting therapy as necessary based on physiology knowledge and clinical assessment. Manage medication administration processes, including IV infusion preparation and aseptic techniques, to uphold safety standards. Provide expert consultation on acute pain management, trauma care, pediatric pharmacotherapy, and critical care interventions. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments focusing on medication therapy effectiveness, potential drug interactions, and contraindications. Oversee medication storage, inventory control, and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. Stay current with advancements in pharmacy practice, including managed care strategies and Level I/II trauma center protocols. Requirements Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the applicable jurisdiction. Extensive clinical pharmacy experience within hospital environments, including Level I Trauma Centers and ICU settings. Proven expertise in managed care principles and hospital medicine practices. Experience working in Level II trauma centers with a focus on emergency room and acute care scenarios. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pharmacology related to pediatrics and adult patients. Demonstrated proficiency in IV infusion preparation, aseptic techniques, and post-residency clinical practice. Prior experience in pain management protocols and emergency room pharmacy operations. Excellent patient service skills with a focus on patient care quality and safety. Ability to perform detailed medication assessments and adapt therapies based on patient-specific factors such as age, weight, and comorbidities. Familiarity with hospital information systems and pharmacy management software.
