Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity is for a hospital pharmacist position within a 150-bed community hospital located in Nacogdoches, TX. The hospital utilizes Cerner and Omnicell systems, supporting efficient workflow and patient care. The role will be on a 13-week contract basis with a schedule of 8-hour shifts from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently. Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations. Provide medication-related consultations to physicians and nursing staff. Support inpatient pharmacy services with a focus on patient safety. Perform IV admixture preparations in compliance with regulatory standards.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Texas Pharmacist license. Minimum of 1 year current inpatient pharmacy experience. Strong competency in IV admixture preparation. Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell systems preferred. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with medical teams.
