Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist at a 150-bed community hospital in Nacogdoches, TX. This role offers the chance to work a consistent weekday schedule, providing essential pharmacy services in a dynamic hospital setting.
Schedule:
8-hour shifts 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Responsibilities include: Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure compliance and safety Consulting with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care Managing intravenous (IV) admixture preparations Utilizing pharmacy IT systems such as Cerner and Omnicell to maintain records and support workflow
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Texas Pharmacist license A minimum of 1 year recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience Strong skills and experience in IV admixture preparation Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell pharmacy software is preferred Excellent communication and collaborative skills for interdisciplinary teamwork This contract position requires immediate availability and offers the opportunity to contribute to healthcare delivery in a supportive hospital environment.
