$150,000 $160,000 Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge to oversee daily pharmacy operations in a retail pharmacy setting in Nacogdoches, Texas. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring safe, legal, and efficient dispensing of medications while managing pharmacy staff and maintaining full regulatory compliance. The Pharmacist in Charge will lead pharmacy technicians, oversee inventory control, ensure prescription accuracy, and provide professional guidance to patients and staff. This role requires strong clinical knowledge, leadership ability, and operational oversight experience. Key Responsibilities Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and legal compliance Dispense medications and ensure correct dosage and labeling standards Manage pharmacy inventory, storage, and medication expiration control Supervise, train, and support pharmacy technicians and support staff Develop and manage staff schedules and workflow allocation Maintain accurate patient medication profiles and dispensing records Provide medication counseling and respond to patient inquiries Ensure compliance with
HIPAA, FDA
regulations, and pharmacy laws Oversee daily pharmacy operations and workflow efficiency Collaborate with healthcare providers and internal teams as needed Requirements Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required Minimum 3 5 years retail pharmacy management experience required Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a pharmacy setting required Strong knowledge of pharmacy law, compliance, and regulatory standards Experience working with pharmacy management systems Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Ability to stand for extended periods and perform detailed pharmaceutical tasks
