Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity is for a licensed Pharmacist to provide night shift pharmacy services at a children's hospital in Shallowater, TX. The role begins immediately with a 6-month contract assignment, offering the chance to work within a pediatric-focused environment that values specialized experience.
Responsibilities:
Manage medication dispensing and verification during the night shift (8:00 PM - 6:30 AM) Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely pharmaceutical care Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems proficiently for inpatient pharmacy operations Support patient safety and adherence to hospital policies, focusing on pediatric needs Transition to a day shift role later in the assignment to cover a pharmacist on FMLA, extending through January 13, 2027
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active Texas Pharmacist license Proven experience with EPIC electronic medical records Familiarity with Pyxis automated dispensing systems Prior inpatient pharmacy experience required, with pediatric background highly preferred Ability to work a 7 days on/7 days off schedule during night hours
