Job Description

Specialty Pharmacist At Genesis Medical Group, our mission is to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to the Houston community. Our team of skilled professionals is dedicated to delivering the highest quality healthcare services, specializing in Oncology, Rheumatology, and Primary Care.
The Role:
We have a Full-time opportunity available in The Woodlands/Tomball area. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time pharmacist to join our specialty pharmacy team. This role involves working closely with prescribers, patients, and healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate medication management.
Responsibilities:
• Dispense and manage specialty medications in accordance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards Collaborate with providers to complete prior authorizations and address medication-related questions Interpret Rx data to guide therapy decisions that maximize both patient outcomes and cost efficiency Educate patients and caregivers on medication usage, side effects, and potential drug interactions Stay current with emerging therapies, treatment guidelines, and industry developments Ensure compliance with federal, state, institutional and pharmacy board regulations
Qualifications:
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution Active Texas Pharmacist license in good standing Minimum 5 years of experience in retail pharmacy, specialty experience preferred• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail Fluent speaking in Spanish a plus
