Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist in Charge to oversee pharmacy operations and ensure the highest standards of patient care. This role involves managing pharmacy staff, maintaining compliance with regulations, and providing expert pharmaceutical care to patients. The ideal candidate will possess strong compounding experience and a commitment to enhancing patient health outcomes. Duties Supervise daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations. Oversee the preparation and dispensing of medications, including compounding medications. Implement and oversee aseptic techniques in sterile medication preparation in accordance with USP 797. Maintain compliance with non-sterile preparations in accordance with USP 795. Manage inventory effectively, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing waste. Educate patients on medication management and health maintenance. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop plans tailored to individual patient needs. Deliver exceptional patient care by conducting thorough medication reviews and counseling patients on proper medication use. Foster a positive environment focused on patient service and satisfaction. Skills Proficient in compounding medications with a strong understanding of aseptic technique. Experienced in inventory management to ensure efficient pharmacy operations. Skilled in immunization delivery and patient education regarding vaccines. Excellent communication skills for effective patient service and collaboration with healthcare teams. This role is essential for delivering quality pharmaceutical care while ensuring operational excellence within the pharmacy.
