Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A 200-bed community hospital in Ogden, UT seeks a licensed pharmacist for a 13-week contract position with the option to extend. This role offers a dynamic environment supporting inpatient pharmacy services on a 2nd shift schedule (12:30 pm to 11:00 pm) with a 7 days on, 7 days off rotation (Wednesday through Tuesday). The position requires immediate availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders ensuring accuracy and safety Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow efficiency Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient drug therapy Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to provide expert pharmacy consultation Utilize Meditech and Pyxis systems for medication dispensing and documentation
Qualifications:
Valid Utah pharmacist license Minimum of 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration Familiarity with electronic health records and medication dispensing technology This contract opportunity allows the pharmacist to contribute meaningfully in a community hospital setting while managing a flexible schedule that promotes work-life balance.
