Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity exists for an experienced or retail pharmacist ready to expand their skills in a 12-week contract position based in West Jordan, UT. This role requires a licensed UT pharmacist committed to providing excellent patient care and accurate medication management within a community pharmacy setting.
Schedule:
Wednesdays to Fridays, 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM Saturdays and Sundays, 2:00 PM to 6:00
PM Key Responsibilities:
Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications while ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Monitor patient medication adherence and identify patterns of overuse. Maintain precise, confidential patient records and manage pharmacy files meticulously. Provide expert advice to patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and answer questions. Deliver additional patient services including smoking cessation support, blood pressure and cholesterol monitoring. Educate patients on the correct use of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters. Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions adhering to established procedures. Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks, promoting an efficient work environment. Manage pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory effectively. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and resolve drug-related issues, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
Current UT pharmacist license required. Retail pharmacist experience welcome; training provided. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams. Ability to supervise and coordinate pharmacy staff activities.
