JOB SUMMARY
In this role, you will: Oversee daily pharmacy operations. Provide prescriptions and patient consultations. Supervise pharmacy technicians, interns, and clerks. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company policies.
Essential Functions:
Staff Pharmacists fill prescriptions following laws and policies: retrieve, measure, label, and audit. Assist customers and physicians with prescription and health inquiries per CS guidelines. Offer professional consultations per state and federal regulations. Communicate billing and dispensing procedures under
CMS DMEPOS
guidelines, including complaints. Participate in clinical programs and handle pharmacist-related phone inquiries. Collaborate with team members to ensure policy and legal compliance. Conduct monthly CII audits and maintain controlled substance records.
Additional Responsibilities:
Verify prescriptions and check patient records. Order, stock, and maintain inventory of pharmacy products. Train pharmacy technicians and give performance feedback. Manage customer sales register and ensure pharmacy professionalism.
Other Duties:
Keep the pharmacy clean and organized. Attend training and policy update meetings. Maintain standards in management's absence and engage in clinical programs.
Environmental Factors:
Exposure to cleaning and compounding chemicals and bloodborne pathogens.
Job Requirements:
Bachelors or Doctorate in Pharmacy Licensed Pharmacist (active state license required) Successful completion of NAPLEX and State Law exams Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment Associated Food Stores is an equal opportunity employer.
