Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Contract An urgent opportunity is available for a skilled Pharmacist to serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) at a newly established behavioral hospital in Lynchburg, VA. This facility represents a collaborative venture between two respected healthcare organizations, providing an innovative environment for pharmacy practice in behavioral health. This role offers a critical position in shaping pharmacy services in a fresh setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations Manage medication dispensing and provide pharmaceutical care tailored to behavioral health needs Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to support patient treatment plans Maintain accurate records and ensure the safe handling of medications Lead quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy department
Qualifications and Experience:
Licensed Pharmacist with credentials to practice in the state Proven experience as a Pharmacy Manager or PIC, preferably within behavioral health or hospital settings Strong leadership abilities and excellent communication skills Ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic clinical environment Commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance
Schedule and Contract Details:
