This role involves primarily verifying retail prescriptions with some responsibilities for checking non-sterile compounded medications, ensuring accuracy in formulas through precise mathematical calculations.

Fridays, 9:00 AM - 5:00

Order Entry System:

Pioneer RX Key Responsibilities:

Verify accuracy and appropriateness of retail prescriptions Review non-sterile compounded medications and confirm correct formulation calculations Perform retail line checks with attention to detail Collaborate within the pharmacy team to maintain quality and compliance

Qualifications & Experience:

Licensed pharmacist in the state of Virginia Proven retail pharmacy experience required Experience with non-sterile compounding strongly preferred Proficiency with Pioneer RX or similar pharmacy order entry systems is beneficial This role offers the flexibility of per diem work with a consistent weekly schedule on Fridays. It provides the chance to apply both retail dispensing knowledge and compounding expertise in a dynamic pharmacy setting.
