Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract Fast-paced inpatient pharmacy role supporting a high-acuity hospital environment with rotating coverage across day, evening, and overnight shifts.

Rotating shifts including

Day:

6:30 AM

3:00 PM, 7:30 AM
4:00 PM, 9:00 AM
5:30 PM, 10:00 AM
6:30

PM Evening:

1:00 PM

9:30 PM, 2:30 PM
11:00

PM Overnight:

7:30 PM

7:30 AM, 8:30 PM
7:30

AM Core Responsibilities:

Order entry and verification of medication orders Clinical review including drug interactions IV medication preparation and sterile compounding oversight Pain management including PCA therapy support Anticoagulation monitoring and pharmacokinetic/renal dosing support Collaboration with interdisciplinary hospital teams

Requirements:

Active Virginia Pharmacist License in hand at time of submission (FIRM) Minimum 1 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience

EPIC EMR

experience (REQUIRED) Strong IV sterile compounding experience Experience with antibiotic therapy and medication order verification Ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends

Preferred Experience:

Travel pharmacy experience Chemo preparation/handling experience Anticoagulation management Pharmacokinetic and renal dosing protocols
