Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join the team immediately for a contract assignment of 13 weeks or more. This Monday through Friday day-shift role involves working in a small hospital setting with an approximate patient census of 10 per day. The position offers an excellent opportunity to apply hospital pharmacy expertise within a focused, patient-centered environment.

Monday through Friday Day shift
Responsibilities:
Dispense medications accurately and efficiently to LTAC patients Review and verify medication orders in compliance with hospital policies and standards Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy Monitor patient responses and potential drug interactions Maintain accurate records of dispensed pharmaceuticals and inventory management Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations and standards
Qualifications:
Licensed Pharmacist in Virginia Experience working in a hospital or acute care setting preferred Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication therapy management, and patient safety protocols Excellent communication and organizational skills Able to work independently in a small hospital environment This contract offers a rewarding chance to contribute clinical pharmacy expertise in a specialized LTAC hospital environment, supporting complex patient care needs.
