  • Pharmacist Job Type Contract A dynamic opportunity is available for an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting undergoing management transition.
This contract role requires immediate availability and strong clinical skills to navigate a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Day Shifts:
6:30 AM
  • 3:00 PM, 7:30 AM
  • 4:00 PM, 9:00 AM
  • 5:30 PM, 10:00 AM

PM Evening Shifts:
1:00 PM
  • 9:30 PM, 2:30 PM
  • 11:00
PM Overnight Shifts:
7:30 PM
  • 7:30 AM, 8:30 PM

AM Key Responsibilities:
Accurately enter and verify medication orders consistent with hospital protocols Manage IV medications, pain controlled analgesia, antibiotics, and drug interactions Provide specialized dosing including anticoagulants, pharmacokinetic, and renal dosing as needed Support chemotherapy medication management when applicable Utilize EMR systems for charting and documentation, specifically
EPIC Qualifications & Experience Required:
Active Virginia Pharmacist License in hand at time of application (mandatory) Minimum 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience; travel pharmacy experience is a plus Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system (required) Demonstrated expertise in IV therapy, pain management, antibiotics, and drug interaction oversight Preferred experience with chemotherapy, anticoagulation protocols, pharmacokinetic and renal dosing This position demands adaptability and professional independence due to organizational changes within the facility.
