Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A pharmacy professional is needed to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care within a long-term care setting during overnight shifts. This contract opportunity requires immediate availability for a duration of at least four weeks. The position supports safe and effective medication use while collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently Monitor patient medication compliance and identify patterns of over-usage Ensure all medications supplied are within legal requirements and suitable for patients Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files with precision Provide patient counseling on medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions Educate patients on medical device handling (e.g., blood pressure monitors, glucose meters) Offer services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management Compound medications for internal and external use, preparing sterile solutions following proper protocols Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks, ensuring smooth pharmacy operations Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals Identify and communicate drug-related problems to appropriate healthcare providers
Qualifications:
