Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A pharmacist opportunity is available for a 13-week assignment in Southwest Virginia, supporting a 200-bed community hospital. This contract position requires immediate availability and offers a consistent day-shift schedule with a combination of 8- and 10-hour shifts.
Location:
Waynesboro, VA Schedule:
Day shifts Mix of 8- and 10-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in daily operations Collaborate and consult with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care Utilize hospital systems including EPIC and Pyxis for medication management
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Valid Virginia pharmacist license Previous hospital pharmacy experience in a similar role Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a healthcare team This assignment is ideal for pharmacists looking to apply their hospital experience in a community hospital setting located in Southwest Virginia.
