Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare facility in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to support their psychiatric hospital setting. This contract role offers an opportunity to apply your pharmacy skills in a dynamic inpatient environment with a focus on mental health care.
Location:
Williamsburg, VA Setting:
Psychiatric Hospital -
Inpatient Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week Additional shifts as needed for coverage
Duration:
13+ weeks or until a permanent pharmacist is hired
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately verify and process medication orders and prescriptions Operate and manage automated dispensing systems efficiently Collaborate and communicate effectively with hospital administrators, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care Maintain compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and hospital protocols Qualifications /
Desired Experience:
Valid Virginia Pharmacist license required Experience in a hospital inpatient setting preferred Proficient in medication data order entry and verification processes Familiarity with automated dispensing machines Strong communication and interpersonal skills tailored to a multidisciplinary hospital environment This contract opportunity is ideal for pharmacists ready to contribute their expertise in a specialized psychiatric hospital setting.
