Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract Work as a Travel Pharmacist in a critical access hospital setting located in Altoona, WI, supporting a 25-bed facility. This opportunity offers a dynamic role focusing on ER, Labor & Delivery, and Medical-Surgical units with minimal to no oncology cases, perfect for pharmacists seeking varied clinical experience outside of oncology specialties. Responsibilities include managing medications for 10-12 patients daily using Cerner EMR and Pyxis systems. The position demands strong clinical judgment and collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely medication distribution and patient counseling.

Pyxis Schedule:
7 days on, 7 days off rotation Monday to
Friday:
5:30 AM - 4:00
PM Saturday/Sunday:
5:30 AM - 2:00
PM Start Date:
Rotation beginning July 6
Contract Duration:
13 weeks plus potential extension
Qualifications and Experience:
Licensed Pharmacist with current credentials to practice in Wisconsin Experience with hospital pharmacy operations, preferably in acute care environments Proficiency with Cerner EMR and Pyxis systems preferred or the ability to quickly adapt Strong interpersonal and communication skills for multidisciplinary teamwork Ability to manage workload efficiently with attention to detail and patient safety This role is ideal for pharmacists who thrive in fast-paced, patient-centered environments and appreciate a unique schedule that allows for extended time off between rotations.
