Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A critical access hospital in Wisconsin is seeking a knowledgeable pharmacist to support their 25-bed facility. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work in a patient-focused environment covering emergency room, labor & delivery, and medical-surgical areas, with limited oncology involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispense and oversee medication use for 10-12 patients daily Collaborate with medical staff in ER, L&D, and Med/Surg to ensure safe and effective medication therapy Utilize EMR systems including Cerner and Pyxis for medication management Maintain compliance with hospital policies and applicable regulations Support continuous quality improvement initiatives in pharmacy services
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current pharmacist license in good standing Experience working in hospital pharmacy, preferably within a critical access or community hospital setting Proficiency with Cerner and Pyxis systems highly preferred Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and adapt in a dynamic healthcare environment

Monday - Friday, 5:30 am to 4:00 pm; Saturday & Sunday, 5:30 am to 2:00 pm
Rotation:
7 days on, 7 days off
Start Date:
July 6th
Duration:
