Job Description
Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A hospital in Middleton, WI is seeking three inpatient pharmacists for a 13-week contract starting June 8. This role requires at least 2 years of recent inpatient experience in an acute care setting. Pharmacists will work a rotating schedule of 5 eight-hour shifts, alternating between day (6:30 am to 3:00 pm) and evening (2:30 pm to 11:00 pm) shifts, including every third weekend.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage inpatient medication orders and pharmacotherapy for various medical conditions Perform pharmacokinetic and renal dosing adjustments Monitor therapeutic drug levels and manage drug shortages effectively UtilizeEPIC EMR
system for documentation and order verificationQualifications and Experience:
Valid Wisconsin pharmacy license; ACT-10 license accepted Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience Expertise in pharmacotherapy, dosing protocols, and acute care medication management Ability to comply with mask fit testing requirements (must shave for a proper seal; no exceptions) Willingness to wear provided scrubs during shiftsAdditional Details:
Travel candidates only; local applicants within 70 miles will not be considered Required to undergo fit testing with no use of personal PAPRs or CAPRs allowed Scrubs are provided upon start of assignment Candidates should submit the following to be considered: Updated resume highlighting any employment gaps over 30 days Completed skills checklist Two professional pharmacy references Copy of current Wisconsin pharmacist license Note any requested time off during the contract This role offers the opportunity to provide critical inpatient pharmacy support in a supportive hospital environment.
