Contract Key Responsibilities:

Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications. Monitor patient medication compliance and detect any over-usage patterns. Ensure medications supplied comply with applicable laws and are appropriate for patients. Maintain confidential patient records and manage pharmacy files with precision. Advise patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and answer medication-related questions. Provide consultations on prescription and over-the-counter medicines, including dosage, storage, and drug interactions. Deliver additional patient services such as smoking cessation programs, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management. Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters. Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions according to standards. Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks to ensure efficient operations. Maintain pharmaceutical inventory and medical supplies. Identify and communicate drug-related problems with healthcare providers. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, other pharmacists, and pharmacy interns to optimize patient care.

Qualifications:

Active Wisconsin pharmacist license (in-hand) required. Retail pharmacists welcome; training available for motivated candidates. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to supervise and collaborate effectively within a healthcare team.
