Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A pharmacy site in West Bend, WI is currently seeking two pharmacists for a 9-week contract beginning August 17. This assignment provides an opportunity to support a busy long-term care pharmacy environment with comprehensive clinical and dispensing responsibilities.
Shift Schedule:
2nd shift: 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM Rotating weekends Responsibilities include: Accurately accepting and dispensing prescription medications Monitoring patient medication compliance and usage patterns Ensuring medication supply and administration comply with legal standards Maintaining confidential and accurate patient records Advising patients on medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions Providing patient education on medical device handling and wellness services such as smoking cessation and blood pressure monitoring Compounding medications and preparing sterile solutions as needed Supervising pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks Collaborating effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to identify and resolve drug-related problems Maintaining appropriate pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory
Qualifications:
Valid Wisconsin pharmacist license in hand Pharmacy experience welcomed; retail pharmacists will be considered and trained Strong communication and leadership skills for effective team supervision

This site requires pharmacists regularly, about every 2-3 years. Due to multiple vendor contracts, processing may be slow, so having candidates ready in the area is advantageous.
