Job Description

Pharmacist Lambert Drug Store 22630 Northwestern Pike, Romney, WV 26757 From $60 an hour - Part-time, Full-time From $60 an hour - Part-time, Full-time Lambert Drug Store is an independent retail pharmacy located in Romney, West Virginia. Lambert Drug Store is growing! We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team. Lambert Drug Store is a great place to learn and grow personally and professionally. We are a small team dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients and community!
License Requirements:
Pharmacists must be a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) and currently hold their license under the West Virginia Board of Pharmacy (WVBOD) or obtain it prior to their first day of employment. Pharmacists must currently obtain their West Virginia Immunizations Certificate or obtain it prior to their first day of employment. Recent Pharmacy graduates are encouraged to apply. If a recent graduate is hired, they must successfully pass their board exams sixty (60) days after employment. - Hourly Pay is reflected upon experience and license status. - Raises and bonuses subject to good performance reviews.
Job Responsibilities:
Arrive on time for shift. Have a positive attitude. Answer phones in a professional manner. Check at minimum 400-500 prescriptions daily (once fully trained). Problem-solve issues in a fast-paced environment. Take verbal prescriptions from doctor's offices. Partner with physicians to optimize medication therapies. Review patient medical history to identify allergies or contradictions. Accurately review prescriptions for drug interactions. Perform final check on prescriptions, ensuring it is for the right patient, right drug, right dose, right route of administration, and right time while evaluating profitability. Advise patients on medication administration, side effects, and over-the-counter medications. Answer any questions patients have regarding their medications, drug interactions, over-the-counter products, etc. Perform counseling with patients regarding new medications, potential side effects, drug storage, and interactions to ensure safe and effective treatment. Adhere to State and Federal laws regarding controlled substances. Assist Pharmacy Technicians with any questions they may have. Perform final check on Dispill Adherence Packaging. Assist Pharmacy Technicians with adherence packaging. Immunize patients with appropriate vaccinations and dosages. Record vaccinations on state registries and ensure patient profiles have been properly updated. Evaluate and manage inventory needs. Perform Medication Therapy Management Reviews (MTMs), Comprehensive Medication Reviews (CMRs), and Targeted Intervention Program Reviews (TIPs).
