Crouse's Employee Pharmacy team is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant to assist the pharmacist in the activities related to medication order entry, processing, and delivery. Operates cash register competently and handles direct patient contact.

Pay Range:

$20.66 - $30.72 Available Schedule(s): Per diem - scheduled as needed (department is open Monday-Friday)

Pharmacy Assistant Responsibilities:

Assists in functions associated with filling outpatient prescriptions. Accurately enters medication information from the prescription into the computer. •

Note:

Pharmacist verification required Enters pertinent patient information (allergies, age) correctly. Accurately refills prescriptions when appropriate. Sets up medications to be checked and dispensed by the pharmacist at the dispensing counter. •

Pharmacist verification required. Bags prescriptions already verified by the pharmacist and places them in pick up area. Operates cash register accurately Evaluates stock status

Pharmacy Assistant Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. One (1) year Pharmacy experience required. National Certification (CPhT) is preferred. Must be able to pass a departmentally administered math exam with a grade of 75%.
