Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A per diem Pharmacist opportunity is available in an independent retail pharmacy setting located in Helena, AL. This role offers a flexible schedule working 1 to 2 days per week with weekday day shifts from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The environment includes a pharmacy staffed by a single pharmacist supported by 1 to 2 pharmacy technicians and a cashier, handling an average prescription volume of 180 to 200 per day. The pharmacy utilizes Quick Script for order entry.
Responsibilities:
Accurately dispense prescription medications in compliance with state laws and pharmacy regulations. Manage inventory and ensure proper storage of medications. Provide excellent patient counseling and medication therapy management. Collaborate with staff to maintain a smooth workflow within the pharmacy. Utilize Quick Script to process prescriptions efficiently. Ensure health and safety standards are upheld during all pharmacy operations.
Qualifications:
Active Alabama Pharmacy license required. Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred; new graduates with relevant training are encouraged to apply. Strong understanding of pharmaceutical laws, drug interactions, and patient privacy. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
