Job Description

Position Summary Under the general supervision of the Director of Pharmacy and in collaboration with assigned hospital leadership, the Outpatient Pharmacy Manager is responsible for the oversight of safe, efficient, and compliant operations of Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center's outpatient pharmacy. Responsibilities include daily workflow supervision, staffing support, inventory and controlled substance oversight, third-party billing and point-of-sale processes, policy implementation, regulatory readiness, financial stewardship, and coordination of outpatient pharmacy services that support patient access and continuity of care. This position also supports compliant outpatient pharmacy processes related to the 340B Drug Pricing Program, including workflow oversight, documentation standards, diversion prevention, duplicate discount prevention, and audit readiness in accordance with organizational policy and regulatory expectations. Required Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy (proof of highest level of education completed). Current Arizona pharmacist license in good standing Minimum of three years of pharmacist experience Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, professionalism, and within regulatory standards. Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, reach, and stretch using good body mechanics for sustained periods of time Mental and physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications Experience in outpatient, ambulatory, retail, or hospital pharmacy operations Knowledge of pharmacy claims adjudication, third-party billing, point-of-sale workflow, and inventory management Leadership, supervisory, or management experience in pharmacy operations Knowledge of 340B program operations, split-billing concepts, and outpatient compliance workflows Previous Meditech experience or other related electronic medical record systems Understanding computer systems, process design, and data management. Basic knowledge of application implementation, enhancement, development, and support methods and practices. Demonstrated ability to lead staff development, operational improvement, and interdisciplinary collaboration. English proficiency with excellent written and verbal fluency.
