Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Contract An Interim Director of Pharmacy position is available at a 70-bed long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital located in Chula Vista, CA. This contract role offers the opportunity to provide leadership and oversight of pharmacy operations within the facility, with potential to transition to a permanent position.

Monday through Friday Day shifts
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for the hospital pharmacy Oversee daily pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with regulatory standards Manage staff and workflow to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical care Utilize RX Connect pharmacy IT system to support medication distribution and documentation Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize medication management and patient outcomes
Desired Qualifications:
Active California Pharmacist License Proven experience as a Director of Pharmacy within California healthcare settings Strong leadership and communication skills Familiarity with LTAC facility pharmacy operations preferred This position offers the chance to lead a dedicated pharmacy team and ensure the highest standards of pharmaceutical services in a dynamic healthcare environment. The initial contract term is 13 weeks with a start date as soon as possible, with potential for temp-to-hire consideration. Qualified candidates ready to take on a leadership role in pharmacy operations are encouraged to apply promptly to be considered for this critical position. Compensation for this position ranges from $85.00 to $95.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
