Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Contract An acute care healthcare organization in Central California seeks a seasoned Interim Director of Pharmacy to lead and manage pharmacy operations across multiple inpatient hospital campuses during a transitional period. This role demands a confident leader capable of swiftly assessing priorities, steering ongoing strategic projects to completion, and inspiring pharmacy teams toward excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct daily inpatient pharmacy operations across multi-campus settings Lead, mentor, and support pharmacy personnel to maintain high performance and morale Ensure full compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards Oversee departmental budgeting and effective resource allocation Drive and complete key operational and strategic initiatives in progress Collaborate with executive and clinical leadership to align pharmacy operations with organizational goals
Qualifications:
Proven Director of Pharmacy experience in an acute care hospital environment Strong expertise in hospital pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards Demonstrated success leading teams through organizational change and operational improvements Ability to rapidly build credibility and deliver impactful results in an interim leadership role Familiarity with major hospital EHR and pharmacy information systems preferred
Assignment Details:
Interim engagement expected to last approximately 3-6 months Flexible start date, with preference for an earlier onboarding Competitive compensation package offered Travel and housing support may be available depending on candidate needs This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced pharmacy leader ready to make a significant impact across multiple hospital campuses with strong leadership and operational expertise.
