Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Contract An immediate opportunity is available for an Interim Director of Pharmacy to provide leadership at a 70-bed Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital in San Diego, CA. This role is ideal for an experienced pharmacy professional ready to oversee pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance, safety, and efficiency. The position offers a contract duration of 13 weeks with potential to transition to a temp-to-hire arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for the site, maintaining regulatory compliance. Provide strategic oversight and management of pharmacy operations. Implement and optimize pharmacy workflows using RX Connect IT systems. Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to support patient care initiatives. Ensure adherence to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active California pharmacist license is required. Demonstrated experience as a Director of Pharmacy within California healthcare settings. Strong leadership and communication skills. Familiarity with pharmacy management software, specifically RX Connect. Ability to manage day-to-day operations and regulatory compliance in a hospital setting.
