Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Per Diem Urgent need for experienced pharmacists to join a growing per diem team supporting multiple locations across Northern California. This opportunity offers flexible shifts during a high-demand season, ideal for those seeking extra hours alongside existing part-time work.
Location:
West Sacramento, CA, with coverage needed in Sacramento, Bay Area/North Bay, and Northern California (Redding, Chico) Must be willing to commute within these regions; mileage reimbursement available for travel over 30 miles one way
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert retail pharmacy services including medication dispensing and counseling Manage pharmacy operations including opening and closing procedures Supervise and coordinate pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow Administer immunizations in accordance with state regulations Utilize McKesson's Enterprise (ERx) software for prescription processing and inventory management Cover 1-2 shifts per week on average, adapting to variable scheduling needs
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Minimum 1 year of retail pharmacy experience preferred Immunization certification required Experience in managing pharmacy operations and supervising staff Ability to work independently and handle fluctuating shift demands Comfortable traveling throughout the broader Northern California region
