This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist with strong leadership skills who is looking for a stable Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends.
Key Responsibilities :
Serve as the designated Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) and oversee daily pharmacy operations. Ensure compliance with all applicable Florida Board of Pharmacy, DEA, USP, federal, and state regulations. Oversee both retail dispensing and pharmacy compounding operations. Maintain appropriate policies, procedures, records, logs, and quality-control documentation. Supervise and provide leadership to pharmacy technicians and support staff. Review and accurately dispense prescriptions while ensuring patient safety. Provide medication counseling and respond to patient and provider questions. Communicate effectively with physicians, medical offices, insurance companies, and patients. Oversee prescription workflow, inventory management, controlled substances, ordering, and medication storage. Ensure appropriate compounding procedures, documentation, quality assurance, and staff competency. Maintain pharmacy readiness for inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews. Utilize the pharmacy management system efficiently for prescription processing, patient profiles, inventory, billing, reporting, and workflow management. Ensure pharmacy staff are properly trained on the pharmacy management system and established workflows. Identify opportunities to improve workflow, efficiency, patient experience, and pharmacy growth. Promote a professional, collaborative, and patient-focused work environment. Qualifications Active and unrestricted Florida Pharmacist License required. Eligible to serve as Pharmacist in Charge in the State of Florida. Retail pharmacy experience required. Compounding pharmacy experience strongly preferred. Prior PIC, pharmacy management, or leadership experience preferred. Experience with pharmacy management/dispensing software required. Experience with Pharmetika is highly preferred; experience with comparable pharmacy management systems will also be considered. Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize pharmacy technology. Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, compliance, controlled substances, and medication safety. Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively manage staff and maintain an efficient pharmacy workflow.
