This position is primarily responsible for creating patient records and coordinating all incoming new orders via, phone, fax or web. This position also supports the Pharmacy Intake Department, and is cross-trained in various positions to manage the prescription fulfillment process from inception to delivery.
Responsibilities The successful candidate will:
Accurately performs daily, weekly and monthly scheduled tasks to efficiently input new patients into the pharmacy system. This position is primarily responsible for creating patient records and coordinating all incoming new orders via, phone, fax or web to meet the needs of the department. Code clinical data such as diseases, operations, procedures, and therapies on medical records. By compiling and maintaining patient data to document patient's prescription profile, conditions and treatment, this position serves as a link between patient, physician and pharmacy. Verify insurance. Accurately input necessary data to keep patient records up to date. Provide backup support to team members as needed. Communicate clearly and effectively both in person and on the phone to a variety of audiences including patients, patient care providers, physicians, pharmacists and staff. General administrative support as assigned by manager Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent At least 2 years of relevant work experience Must be registered in the state of Florida as a Pharmacy Technician; Certificate is a plus Experience in a retail pharmacy environment is preferred PioneerRx software experience is preferred Why Work for Us?
