Job Description
Pharmacy Manager - Independent Community Pharmacy (340B Program) Florida Licensed Retail / Community Pharmacy We are seeking a motivated, business-minded, and patient-focused Pharmacy Manager for an independent community pharmacy in the State of Florida with 340B program operations. This is not a traditional corporate retail environment. We are looking for a pharmacist leader who is willing to think outside the box, help grow the business, build relationships within the community, and take ownership in operational excellence, compliance, and patient care. If you are tired of corporate retail pharmacy pressure and are looking for a flexible, growth-oriented, 9-to-5 independent pharmacy environment where your leadership and creativity matter, then this is the right opportunity for you. If you are simply looking for a routine position to verify prescriptions without helping build and expand a pharmacy business, this position may not be the right fit. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) and Pharmacy Manager in compliance with Florida Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Manage daily pharmacy workflow, prescription verification, patient counseling, and staff supervision.
- Ensure compliance with Florida laws, DEA regulations, HIPAA requirements, USP standards, and 340B program requirements.
- Develop and grow relationships with physician offices, clinics, hospitals, and community partners.
- Lead business growth initiatives including patient acquisition, marketing strategies, clinical services, and operational expansion.
- Oversee inventory management, purchasing, controlled substance accountability, and vendor relations.
- Maintain all required pharmacy logs, policies, procedures, and inspection readiness documentation.
- Train, mentor, and lead pharmacy technicians and support staff.
- Implement workflow improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Monitor reimbursement trends, PBM issues, DIR fees, and profitability strategies.
- Participate in community outreach and patient engagement activities.
- Support and manage 340B pharmacy operations, audits, documentation, and compliance. Minimum Qualifications
- Active Florida Pharmacist License in good standing.
- Minimum 3-5 years of retail/community pharmacy experience preferred.
- Prior independent pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
- Previous pharmacy management or leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge of 340B pharmacy operations and compliance preferred.
- Strong understanding of Florida Board of Pharmacy regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with pharmacy software systems, workflow management, and inventory control. Pioneer Rx ( preferred )
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and operate in a fast-paced independent pharmacy environment. Preferred Candidate Traits

- Maintain active Florida pharmacist licensure.
- Maintain all CE requirements required by the State of Florida.
- Comply with all DEA, HIPAA, CMS, and Florida Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Maintain inspection readiness at all times.
- Ensure controlled substance security and documentation compliance.
- Support compliance with 340B program audits and reporting requirements.
Pay:
